Archipelago Arresting algae pink and stunningly detailed full-color photographs of the diverse animal, plant, algae pink and marine inhabitants of the distant Northwestern Hawaiian Islands have been captured in this impressive volume, which chronicles several journeys to the difficult-to-reach, environmentally threatened wildlife paradise. With a combination of photographs both in the wild algae pink and in the studio, over 130 species are documented. Tiny, newly hatched Hawaiian Green sea turtles float together, while the developmental stages of the White Tern--from egg to two months--are shown in a progression. A close-up of the tiny pink, flower-like polyps of the Blue Rice Coral is followed just pages later by a yellow algae-covered Simple Collector Crab, who sports, among other things, a tower of coral algae pink and sponge.
